Roof Terrace extension 3 Godfrey Street, Chelsea
Delicate folded steel plate staircase cantilevered from reinforced plasterboard stud walls
View of the cantilevered folded steel staircase as it moves into the winder section
Integration of the handrail and balustrade onto the staircase with the LED strip lighting built into the plasterboard wall
The handrails from the roof terrace pitch down into the stairwell leaving room for the sliding part of the roof light to close, the outside metalwork was painted black to differentiate from the inside which matches the existing colour scheme to the main staircase below
The terrace was constructed with NEO Timber composite decking to ensure minimal maintenance or colour loss for UV, it also resists heating up more than timber decking
Timber slatted fence used to provide privacy between the three roof terraces
